My time in Jamaica is coming to an end as I have two days left of work at Chas. E. Ramson and fly out Saturday August 6th at 4:30pm. I have spent the last week or so at work finalizing any documents which I had started and organizing them in corresponding files within the company's database. I have been frequently meeting with Christopher to review aspects of my work and certain documents before leaving while also developing a means of implementing any documents/practices which are outstanding (due to time constraints of my co-op work term). Today I am finalizing my PowerPoint and notes in preparation for my presentation to the Chas. E. Ramson Board of Directors which entails an overview of my duties, an overview of the work I have completed, final recommendations for implementation of documents/practices and recommendations for changes to be made to current processes and employees based on my observations at work and while in the trade assessing promotions.
Christopher and I have agreed to meet over Skype or phone calls after I depart so I can assist with implementing the work I have done (explaining and taking part in the decision making) and for any future opportunities he pursues in the Canadian market (one of my recommendations for his re-tooling expansion).
While we have experienced a few days of "Tropical Depression," we were able to go out over the weekend to a pool party and a night out despite the rain. As this is the last time I will see many of the friends I've made since arriving, I plan on going out with some of them tonight for the last time and to say my goodbyes. I will also be saying goodbye to many friends I've made while at work including members of Christopher's family.
While my time spent in Jamaica has been incredible and the experience is unforgettable, I am excited to return home for some Canadian food and indulge in some of the things I love most.
