As I continue to work on duties assigned I ended my week with a sampling/taste testing of a Foska Oats Porridge drink in a variety of flavours, containing their new blends they hope to introduce. I sat with management and sampled several different flavours and ways of making each. We were asked to complete questionnaires and respond based on our perception of each of the drinks. My opinion was actually highly valued as a foreigner to the product and type of drink as it gave them a view which does not come from a local who is accustom to these products. On my way home from work Friday we had to make some deliveries to a few downtown locations and I had a chance to see the Canadian and British embassies.
On Saturday Alan and I ventured down to the Bob Marley Museum on Hope Road in Kingston. We went on a 1.5 hour tour around the compound and through the house where Bob lived where they attempted to assassinate him. While we were unable to take pictures of the inside of the museum we did get to see lots of cool things like his gold and platinum record awards, his lifetime achievement award, his authentic house and soccer field (and bedroom), the famous ganja smoking mango tree, the actual spot where he and his family were shot and more. It was quite the experience to see all these historic areas and hear so much about the legend himself. I am starting to feel more like a local as time goes on as we are becoming comfortable with the area and able to navigate our way around quite well. We had taken a cab too and from the museum and were able to direct the cab driver back to our house from downtown.

On Sunday we had the opportunity to go for a boating adventure with the owner of WalkersWood (Alan's boss), Ian Garbut. He picked us up and we drove about 45 minutes to the docks where he parked his boat and set out to Pidgeon Island off the coast of Jamaica. On our way out of the docks we saw several crocodiles and saw some stingrays while on the beach. After driving about a half hour out to sea we arrived on the island and anchored the boat. We brought chairs and a BBQ onto shore and cooked our lunch for the afternoon while enjoying some drinks and the beautiful weather. The water was amazing and we had several white fish come swim around us almost the entire time.
